  Why Roger you should act now: You are the most emblematic Swiss champion, a symbol of fair play and a responsible personality. As a loving parent, you are also involved in the education of children in Africa through a foundation that bears your name. When you speak out, you are usually listened to. For several years now, you have been a partner of various brands and companies and have become an ambassador for them. One of them, Credit Suisse, is actively financing the climate chaos that is already directly affecting the lives of tens of millions of people, including the younger generations on the African continent. IPCC scientists believe that if we really want to limit global warming to 1.5°C, we must free ourselves from dependence on fossil fuels as soon as possible. We must therefore no longer finance companies that extract, transform, buy or sell coal, oil or gas. The UN Secretary General is right to say that we are facing an "existential threat" and that we absolutely must act now. Credit Suisse is the Swiss banking institution most involved with fossil fuels. Between 2016 and 2017, following the signing of the Paris Agreement, it increased its investment in coal by a factor of 16. Between 2015 and 2017, the bank made USD 7.8 billion available to 47 companies exploiting so-called extreme fossil fuels (shale gas, coal, oil sands, deepwater drilling, Arctic). For several years now, various collectives and organisations have asked it to disinvest. Especially since other public and private financial institutions have decided to do so. BNP has announced that it will exit shale gas and oil sands in 2017. The Rockefeller Fund, the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund, the World Bank and very recently the European Investment Bank announced that they would no longer finance fossil fuels. Credit Suisse has just taken a small step in the right direction by announcing that it will no longer finance coal-fired power plants. It is beginning to understand but would have to go much further to become responsible and no longer finance the serious crisis that is unfolding. We would like you to become a "climate champion" by pushing it to finally listen to the science and decide on a major change. Its small step shows it can move, but such a step is not enough to forstall the disaster. Credit Suisse lacks the courage you can give them. Thank you for your efforts for our common future.

Come genitore amorevole, Lei è anche coinvolto nell'educazione dei bambini in Africa attraverso una fondazione che porta il Suo nome. La Sua parola ha un peso importante quando Lei si esprime. Da diversi anni Lei é partner di diversi istituti  e aziende e Lei é  diventato ambasciatore per loro. Uno di loro, il Credit Suisse, finanzia attivamente il caos climatico che sta  da tempo ormai influenzando direttamente la vita di decine di milioni di persone, comprese le giovani generazioni del continente africano. Gli scienziati dell'IPCC ritengono che se vogliamo davvero limitare il riscaldamento globale di  1,5°C, dobbiamo liberarci al più presto dalla dipendenza dai combustibili fossili. Non dobbiamo quindi più finanziare società che estraggono, trasformano, comprano o vendono carbone, petrolio o gas. Il Segretario generale dell'Onu ha dichiarato, a ragione,   che siamo di fronte a una "minaccia esistenziale" e che dobbiamo assolutamente agire ora. Il Credit Suisse è l'istituto bancario svizzero che si occupa maggiormente di combustibili fossili. Tra il 2016 e il 2017, in seguito alla firma dell'accordo di Parigi, ha aumentato di 16 volte gli investimenti nel carbone. Tra il 2015 e il 2017, la banca ha messo a disposizione di 47 aziende che sfruttano i cosiddetti combustibili fossili estremi (gas di scisto, carbone, sabbie bituminose, trivellazioni in acque profonde, Artico) 7,8 miliardi di dollari. Da diversi anni, diversi collettivi e organizzazioni chiedono ormai al Credit Suisse di disinvestire. Altre istituzioni finanziarie pubbliche e private hanno deciso di farlo. BNP ha annunciato che uscirà dal gas di scisto e dalle sabbie bituminose nel 2017. Il Rockefeller Fund, il fondo sovrano norvegese, la Banca Mondiale e, molto recentemente, la Banca Europea per gli Investimenti hanno annunciato che non finanzieranno più i combustibili fossili. Il Credit Suisse ha appena compiuto un piccolo passo nella giusta direzione annunciando che non finanzierà più le centrali a carbone, troppo poco, si  dovrebbe andare molto più lontano per diventare responsabili e non finanziare più la grave crisi che si sta verificando. Vorremmo che oggi Lei diventasse  il  "Campione del clima" spingendo il Credit Suisse ad ascoltare finalmente gli allarmi degli scienziati e avviare con noi  un grande cambiamento. I piccoli passi non sono sufficienti per superare il disastro. A loro manca il coraggio che Lei sicuramente  ha. Grazie per il Suo impegno per il nostro futuro comune.

Wenn Sie sich zu einer Situation äußern, wird Ihrer Meinung viel Beachtung geschenkt. Sie sind seit mehreren Jahren Partner verschiedener Marken und Unternehmen und sind für diese zu einem Botschafter geworden. Einer von diesen, die Credit Suisse, finanziert aktiv das Klimachaos, das bereits heute das Leben von zig Millionen Menschen, auch der jüngeren Generationen auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent, direkt beeinflusst. Die Wissenschaftler des IPCC warnen uns, dass wir uns so schnell wie möglich aus der Abhängigkeit von fossilen Brennstoffen befreien müssen, wenn wir die globale Erwärmung wirklich auf 1,5°C begrenzen wollen. Wir dürfen also keine Unternehmen mehr finanzieren, die Kohle, Öl oder Gas fördern, umwandeln, kaufen oder verkaufen. Der UN-Generalsekretär hat Recht, wenn er sagt, dass wir vor einer "existenziellen Bedrohung" stehen und dass wir unbedingt jetzt handeln müssen. Die Credit Suisse ist das Schweizer Bankinstitut, das am meisten in fossile Brennstoffe investiert. Zwischen 2016 und 2017, nach der Unterzeichnung des Pariser Abkommens, hat sie ihre Investitionen in die Kohle um das 16fache erhöht! Zwischen 2015 und 2017 stellte die Bank 47 Unternehmen, die so genannte extreme fossile Brennstoffe (Schiefergas, Kohle, Ölsand, Tiefwasserbohrungen, Arktis) fördern, 7,8 Mrd. USD zur Verfügung. Seit mehreren Jahren fordern verschiedene Kollektive und Organisationen von Credit Suisse von fossilen Energieträgern zu desinvestieren. Zumal sich andere öffentliche und private Finanzinstitute zu diesem Schritt bereits entschlossen haben. BNP hat angekündigt, dass sie im Jahr 2017 ihre Investitionen aus Schiefergas und Ölsand abziehen wird. Der Rockefeller-Fonds, der norwegische Staatsfonds, die Weltbank und erst kürzlich die Europäische Investitionsbank haben angekündigt, dass sie keine fossilen Brennstoffe mehr finanzieren werden. Mit der Ankündigung, keine Kohlekraftwerke mehr zu finanzieren, hat Credit Suisse gerade einen kleinen Schritt in die richtige Richtung gemacht. Aber um ihre volle Verantwortung wahrzunehmen, die sich entfaltende Krise nicht weiter mit ihren Investitionen zu befeuern, muss sie noch sehr viel weiter gehen. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Sie ein "Klima-Champion" werden, indem Sie Credit Suisse dazu drängen, auf die Wissenschaft zu hören und ihre Verantwortung durch entsprechend grosse Veränderungen wahrzunehmen. Der erste kleine Schritt bestätigt, dass auch Credit Suiss sich bewegen kann, aber das reicht noch lange nicht aus, um die Katastrophe zu überwinden. Noch fehlt Credit Suisse der Mut diese Herausforderung anzugehen, aber diesen Mut können Sie der Bank geben! Danke für Ihre Bemühungen für unsere gemeinsame Zukunft.

Parent aimant, tu t’investis en outre dans l’éducation des enfants d’Afrique à travers une fondation qui porte ton nom. Lorsque tu t’exprimes, habituellement on t’écoute. Depuis plusieurs années, tu es partenaire de différentes marques et entreprises dont tu te fais l’ambassadeur. L’une d’entre elles, le Crédit Suisse finance activement le chaos climatique qui affecte d’ores et déjà directement la vie de dizaines de millions de personnes dont celle des plus jeunes générations du continent africain. Les scientifiques du GIEC considèrent que si nous voulons vraiment limiter le réchauffement de l’atmosphère à 1.5°C, nous devons nous libérer au plus vite de la dépendance aux énergies fossiles. Il ne faut donc plus financer les entreprises qui extraient, transforment, achètent ou vendent du charbon, du pétrole ou du gaz. Le Secrétaire Général de l’ONU juge avec raison que faisons face à une « menace existentielle » et que nous devons absolument agir maintenant. Le Crédit Suisse est l'établissement bancaire helvétique le plus impliqué dans les énergies fossiles. Entre 2016 et 2017, au lendemain de la signature de l'Accord de Paris, il a multiplié par 16 ses investissements dans le charbon. De 2015 à 2017, la banque a mis 7,8 milliards USD à disposition de 47 entreprises exploitant des combustibles fossiles dits extrêmes (gaz de schiste, charbon, sables bitumineux, forage en eaux profondes, arctique). Depuis plusieurs années, différents collectifs et organisations lui ont demandé de désinvestir. D’autant plus que d’autres institutions financières publiques et privées ont décidé de le faire. La BNP a annoncé sortir des gaz de schistes et des sables bitumineux en 2017. Le fonds Rockfeller, le fonds souverain norvégien, la Banque Mondiale et très récemment la Banque Européenne d'Investissement ont annoncé qu'ils ne financerait plus les énergies fossiles. Le Crédit Suisse vient de faire un petit pas dans la bonne direction en annonçant qu’il ne financerait plus de centrales à charbon. Il commence à comprendre mais devrait aller beaucoup plus loin pour devenir responsable et ne plus financer la crise grave qui s’installe. Nous aimerions que tu deviennes « champion du climat » en le poussant à écouter pour de bon la science et en décidant un changement majeur. Les petits pas disent qu’il peut bouger mais ne suffisent pas pour surmonter la catastrophe. Il leur manque le courage que tu pourras leur donner.
