Increase in the maximum admission price for Milongas (SUISA tariff Hb, 2018-2025)
We are asking SUISA to increase the maximum entry price for small tango events to CHF 20 in the next tariff round (from 2025).
Warum ist das wichtig?
According to the common SUISA tariff (Hb, which is valid from 2018-2025), small events with dance (Milongas) are defined in paragraph 22 as follows:
Dance room capacity: up to 400 people
Entrance fee: less than CHF 17.-
These regulations are a very economically restrictive or financially burdensome requirement for tango event organizers because practically all Milongas fall into this category. Since, for reasons of space, larger rooms have to be rented for a tango dance evening so that, for example, 50 couples can dance the “Ronda” (the Argentine tango is not a stationary dance), the organizers incur high space costs. Unfortunately, admission prices of a maximum of CHF 16 are no longer in line with the market to cover these expenses. For this reason, we tango event organizers are sending this petition to you with the following request:
