  Stop the killing of the wolves M121 and M351!

  We condemn the manipulation by the relevant departments of the two cantons in connection with the approval of the killing of wolves M121 and M351. Contrary to the claims of the canton of Vaud, M121 is not a lone wolf. Photos show that he regularly travels in a group, probably the Suchet pack, where he may even be the new alpha male. The status of ‘lone wolf’, which was given as the reason for the shooting permit, is therefore incorrect and legally questionable. The case of M351 is just as worrying. He was injured in December 2024 by a stray shot and is now back in the crosshairs – right in the middle of the mating season. He is probably the father of the pups that will be born at the end of May. Shooting him would seriously endanger their survival, as the pregnant female would then have to care for her young alone. The reason given for shooting M35 is ‘aggressive behaviour’ that could endanger humans. There is no detailed evidence of this. Both shooting orders suggest that the cantons are trying to evade federal control! The culls, which will be in effect for 60 days starting on 16 May 2025, come at a time when the packs are particularly vulnerable. Instead of killing important animals without a solid basis, we must return wolf management to an ethical, rigorous and life-affirming framework. 👉 We call on the relevant departments of the cantons of Vaud and Neuchâtel to withdraw the shooting orders immediately. 👉 We call on the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) to launch an investigation into the conditions under which the shooting permits for M121 and M351 were granted.   Halte à l’abattage des loups M121 et M351 !

  Nous dénonçons fermement les manipulations orchestrées par les départements compétents des deux cantons dans le cadre de l’autorisation d’abattage des loups M121 et M351. Contrairement aux affirmations de la DGE, M121 n’est pas un loup isolé. Des preuves photographiques démontrent sa présence régulière au sein d’un groupe, probablement la meute du Suchet, dont il pourrait même être le nouveau mâle alpha. Ce statut de « loup isolé » utilisé pour justifier son tir est donc faux et juridiquement discutable. Le cas de M351 est tout aussi préoccupant. Déjà blessé en décembre 2024 lors d’un tir raté, il est aujourd’hui à nouveau visé — en pleine période de reproduction. Il est probablement le père des louveteaux à naître à la fin mai. Son abattage compromettrait gravement leur survie, car la femelle gestante devrait subvenir seule aux besoins de sa portée. La raison invoquée pour l'abattage de M35 est son « comportement agressif » qui pourrait mettre en danger des personnes. Il n'existe toutefois aucune preuve concrète à cet égard. Ces deux ordres de tir laissent supposer que les cantons tentent de se soustraire au contrôle de la Confédération afin de pouvoir agir de manière autonome. Ces tirs, valables dès le 16 mai 2025 pour 60 jours, surviennent dans une période de haute vulnérabilité pour les meutes. Au lieu d’éliminer des individus clés sans base solide, nous devons replacer la gestion du loup dans un cadre éthique, rigoureux et respectueux du vivant. 👉 Nous demandons aux départements compétents des cantons de Vaud et de Neuchâtel de retirer immédiatement les ordres de tir. 👉 Nous demandons officiellement à l’Office fédéral de l’environnement (OFEV) d’ouvrir une enquête sur les conditions d’obtention des autorisations de tir visant M121 et M351.   Stoppt die Tötung der Wölfe M121 und M351!

  Wir verurteilen die Manipulationen der zuständigen Departements der beiden Kantone im Zusammenhang mit der Genehmigung der Tötung der Wölfe M121 und M351. Entgegen den Behauptungen des Kantons Waadt ist M121 kein Einzelwolf. Fotos zeigen, dass er regelmässig in einer Gruppe unterwegs ist, wahrscheinlich dem Rudel von Suchet, wo er sogar das neue Alpha-Männchen sein könnte. Der Status als “Einzelwolf”, der als Grund für die Abschussgenehmigung angegeben wurde, ist also falsch und rechtlich fragwürdig. Der Fall von M351 ist genauso besorgniserregend. Er wurde schon im Dezember 2024 bei einem verfehlten Schuss verletzt und ist jetzt wieder im Visier – mitten in der Paarungszeit. Er ist wahrscheinlich der Vater der Welpen, die Ende Mai zur Welt kommen. Sein Abschuss würde ihr Überleben ernsthaft gefährden, da das trächtige Weibchen dann allein für den Nachwuchs sorgen müsste. Der Grund für den Abschuss von M35 ist „aggressives Verhalten“, das Menschen gefährden könne. Davon gibt es keine näheren Beweise. Beide Abschussbefehle lassen vermuten, dass die Kantone versuchen, sich der Kontrolle des Bundes zu entziehen, um alleine handeln zu können. Die Abschüsse, die ab dem 16. Mai 2025 für 60 Tage gelten, kommen in einer Zeit, in der die Rudel besonders gefährdet sind. Anstatt wichtige Tiere ohne solide Grundlage zu töten, müssen wir das Wolfsmanagement wieder in einen ethischen, strengen und lebensbejahenden Rahmen stellen. 👉 Wir fordern die zuständigen Departements der Kantone Waadt und Neuenburg dazu auf, die Abschussbefehle sofort zurückzuziehen. 👉 Wir fordern das Bundesamt für Umwelt (BAFU) dazu auf, eine Untersuchung über die Bedingungen für die Erteilung der Abschussbewilligungen für M121 und M351 einzuleiten. Es geht um: •    die Glaubwürdigkeit unserer Institutionen •    die Einhaltung der Schweizer Verpflichtungen zur Biodiversität •    den Schutz bedrohter Arten ⸻ ✍️ UNTERZEICHNE UND TEILE DIESE PETITION!
