  Rote Linie für die Schweiz: Komplizenschaft mit dem chinesischen Folterregime stoppen!

  Seit 2013 steht Xi Jinping an der Regierungsspitze der Volksrepublik China. Ein Jahr später trat das bilaterale Freihandelsabkommen mit der Schweiz in Kraft. In den zehn Jahren, die seither vergangen sind, hat sich die Menschenrechtslage in der VRC nochmals massiv verschlechtert. Die chinesische Regierung geht besonders brutal gegen die tibetische und uigurische Gemeinschaft vor. So sind Tibeter:innen im Alltag weiterhin stark unterdrückt. Bei Protesten gegen den geplanten Bau eines Wasserkraftwerkes, für dessen Inbetriebnahme mehrere Dörfer und tibetische Klöster von grosser historischer Bedeutung überflutet werden sollen, wurden im Frühjahr 2024 über tausend Menschen, darunter Nonnen und Mönche, verhaftet.Bis zu einer Million tibetische Schülerinnen und Schüler ab 4 Jahren - das sind über 80 Prozent aller schulpflichtigen tibetischen Kinder - werden gezwungen, Internatsschulen fern von ihren Familien zu besuchen, wo ihnen nur die chinesische Sprache und Kultur vermittelt wird. So wächst eine Generation heran, die weder Tibetisch spricht, noch einen Bezug zur eigenen kulturellen Herkunft hat.  Auch in Ostturkestan (chin. Xinjiang) hat sich die Situation massiv verschlechtert. Weltweit Schlagzeilen machte die Inhaftierung von etwa einer Million Menschen in so genannten “Umerziehungslagern”, wo sie indoktriniert und teilweise gefoltert und vergewaltigt werden. Während jüngst einige dieser Lager aufgrund des internationalen Drucks geschlossen wurden, ist die uigurische Bevölkerung auch ausserhalb dieser Lager engmaschig überwacht und in ihrer Bewegungsfreiheit massiv eingeschränkt: Ehemalige Insass:innen der Lager werden unter Hausarrest gestellt, zu langjährigen Haftstrafen verurteilt oder müssen Zwangsarbeit leisten. Zudem ist dokumentiert, wie die chinesische Regierung durch Zwangssterilisationen und weitere Massnahmen zur Geburtenkontrolle bei uigurischen Frauen eine dramatische Änderung der demografischen Zusammensetzung in der Region herbeiführt. Fakt ist: In China nahmen in den 10 Jahren seit Inkrafttreten des Freihandelsabkommen mit der Schweiz die Menschenrechtsverletzungen stark zu. Vor dieser Entwicklung darf die Schweiz nicht die Augen verschliessen und muss endlich Verantwortung übernehmen! Danke, dass Sie unsere Petition unterstützen.   Une ligne rouge pour la Suisse : non à la complicité avec le régime répressif chinois !

  Xi Jinping est à la tête de la République populaire de Chine depuis 2013. Un an après son élection, l’accord de libre-échange bilatéral avec la Suisse entrait en vigueur. Depuis, la situation en matière de droits humains en Chine s’est encore considérablement détériorée. Les communautés tibétaine et ouïghoure font notamment l’objet d’une brutalité sans nom de la part du gouvernement chinois. Les actes d’oppression à l’encontre des Tibétain·e·s sont quotidiens. Lors de protestations contre le projet de construction d’une centrale hydraulique, dont la mise en service conduirait à l’inondation de plusieurs villages et de monastères tibétains d’une importance historique majeure, plus d’un millier de personnes ont été arrêtées au printemps 2024, parmi lesquelles des nonnes et des moines.Près d’un million d’élèves tibétain·e·s de 4 ans et plus, soit plus de 80 % de tous les enfants tibétains en âge d’être scolarisés, sont contraint·e·s de fréquenter des internats, loin de leurs familles, où leur sont inculquées la langue et la culture chinoise. Une génération grandit ainsi sans parler le tibétain ni pouvoir se référer à se origines culturelles. Au Turkestan oriental (province chinoise du Xinjiang) aussi, la situation s’est considérablement détériorée. Aux quatre coins du monde, l’incarcération de près d’un million de personnes dans des « camps de rééducation » où elles sont endoctrinées et, pour bon nombres, torturées et violées, a fait les gros titres de la presse. Si, récemment, plusieurs de ces camps ont été fermés suite à la pression internationale, la population ouïghoure fait également l’objet d’une étroite surveillance à l’extérieur de ces camps et a vu sa liberté de circuler considérablement limitée : d’ancien·ne·s détenu·e·s victimes des camps ont été assigné·e·s à résidence, condamné·e·s à de longues peines d’emprisonnement ou contraint·e·s au travail forcé. En outre, des documents montrent comment le gouvernement chinois, en recourant à la stérilisation forcée et à d’autres mesures visant à contrôler les naissances chez les femmes ouïghoures, entend modifier de manière dramatique la composition démographique dans la région.  Tout cela montre que dans les dix années qui ont suivi l’entrée en vigueur de l’accord de libre-échange avec la Suisse, les violations des droits humains ont considérablement augmenté en Chine. La Suisse ne doit pas fermer les yeux devant cette situation et doit enfin prendre ses responsabilités ! Merci de soutenir notre pétition.   Una linea rossa per la Svizzera:

  Xi Jinping è a capo del Governo della Repubblica Popolare Cinese dal 2013. Un anno dopo, è entrato in vigore l'accordo bilaterale di libero scambio con la Svizzera. Nei dieci anni trascorsi da allora, la situazione dei diritti umani nella Repubblica Popolare Cinese è nuovamente peggiorata in modo massiccio. Il governo cinese sta agendo in modo particolarmente brutale contro le comunità tibetana e uigura.  La popolazione tibetana continua ad essere gravemente oppressa nella vita quotidiana. Oltre mille persone, tra cui suore e monaci, sono state arrestate nella primavera del 2024 durante le proteste contro il progetto di costruzione di una centrale idroelettrica, che dovrebbe sommergere diversi villaggi e monasteri tibetani di grande importanza storica. Fino a un milione di studenti  del Tibet dall'età di 4 anni - ossia oltre l'80% di giovani in in età scolare -  deve frequentare collegi lontani dalle loro famiglie, dove viene insegnata loro solo la lingua e la cultura cinese. Di conseguenza, sta crescendo una generazione che non parla tibetano e non ha alcun legame con le proprie origini culturali. Anche la situazione nel Turkestan orientale (in cinese: Xinjiang) è peggiorata in modo massiccio. L'imprigionamento di circa un milione di persone nei cosiddetti "campi di rieducazione", dove vengono indottrinate e talvolta torturate e violentate, ha fatto notizia in tutto il mondo. Sebbene alcuni di questi campi siano stati recentemente chiusi a causa delle pressioni internazionali, la popolazione uigura è strettamente monitorata anche al di fuori di questi campi e la loro libertà di movimento è massicciamente limitata:  le persone che erano detenute nei campi sono messe agli arresti domiciliari, condannate a lunghe pene detentive o costrette a svolgere lavori forzati. È stato anche documentato come il governo cinese stia portando un cambiamento drammatico nella composizione demografica della regione attraverso sterilizzazioni forzate e altre misure di controllo delle nascite per le donne uigure. Il fatto è che: Nei 10 anni dall'entrata in vigore dell'accordo di libero scambio con la Svizzera, le violazioni dei diritti umani sono aumentate in modo significativo in Cina. La Svizzera non deve chiudere gli occhi di fronte a questo sviluppo e deve finalmente assumersi la responsabilità! Vi ringraziamo per sostenere la nostra petizione.   Red line for Switzerland: stop complicity with the Chinese torture regime!

  Xi Jinping has headed the government of the People’s Republic of China since 2013. One year after he came to power, the bilateral free trade agreement with Switzerland came into force. In the ten years that have passed since then, the human rights situation in the PRC has drastically deteriorated further. The Chinese government is taking particularly brutal action against the Tibetan and Uyghur communities. Tibetans continue to be severely oppressed in everyday life. In spring 2024, when there were protests against the planned construction of a hydroelectric power plant (which, in order to become operational, would require several villages and Tibetan monasteries of great historical significance to be flooded) over a thousand people, including nuns and monks, were arrested.Up to a million Tibetan school pupils aged 4 and above, meaning over 80 percent of all school-age Tibetan children, are forced to attend boarding schools far away from their families, where they are only taught Chinese language and culture. As a result, a generation is growing up that neither speaks Tibetan nor has any connection to its own cultural background. The situation in East Turkestan (in Chinese: Xinjiang) has also become immensely worse. The imprisonment of around a million people in so-called ‘re-education camps’ where they are indoctrinated, and sometimes tortured and raped, made headlines around the world. Some of these camps have recently been closed due to international pressure, but even outside of these camps, the Uyghur population is closely monitored and its freedom of movement is severely restricted: Former inmates of the camps are placed under house arrest, sentenced to long prison terms, or subjected to forced labour. It is also documented that the Chinese government is bringing about a dramatic change in the demographic composition of the region by means of forced sterilisations and other birth control measures for Uyghur women. It is a fact that in the 10 years since the free trade agreement with Switzerland came into force, human rights violations in China have increased considerably. Switzerland should not close its eyes to this development and must finally take responsibility! Thank you for supporting our petition.
